Job summary

UnicornX in Sydney seeks an experienced Solution Architect to lead data centre consolidation and infrastructure transformation across a multi-site environment. The role spans data centre, infrastructure, networking, hosting and cloud, with focus on discovery and defining a practical target-state architecture for resilience.

You will work with Business Analysts and SMEs to identify dependencies, constraints and resilience requirements, translating findings into actionable designs and driving

Qualifications

• Senior Solution or Infrastructure Architecture experience required.
• Data centre consolidation, migration or infrastructure transformation experience.
• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, virtualization and enterprise networking.
• DR, high availability, resilience and RTO/RPO experience.
• Hybrid on-premise and cloud architecture experience.
• Ability to lead technical workshops and coordinate multiple SMEs.
• Experience translating complex discovery findings into practical solution designs.
• Architecture governance / ARB experience.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support a major Data Centre Consolidation and infrastructure transformation program.

This is a hands-on architecture role spanning data centre, infrastructure, networking, hosting and cloud, with an initial focus on discovery, current-state validation and defining practical target-state architecture for a resilient multi-site environment.

You will work closely with Business Analysts and technical SMEs to identify dependencies, constraints and resilience requirements, translate discovery findings into solution designs, and progress architecture through governance and into delivery.

AWS and/or Azure knowledge is beneficial, although this is not a dedicated Cloud Architect role, consistent with the original position requirements.
