Job summary

Skillfield in Melbourne is seeking a Solutions Architect specialising in AI security to shape how our clients secure artificial intelligence (AI) agents and the identities, APIs and data they touch. You'll design architectures behind Skillfield's next-generation security offerings and stay close enough to the build to prove they work.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a solutions or security architect, with a strong grounding in IAM.
• Hands-on background in Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), workload identities and Entra Agent ID, and protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
• Experience designing PAM and secrets management solutions, ideally including non-human identities
• Practical experience designing or securing large language model (LLM) and agent-based systems on Azure AI Foundry, including Azure OpenAI
• Experience designing on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including landing zones, networking, Azure Key Vault, managed identities and Azure API Management
• Working knowledge of API security, API gateways and AI gateways
• Strong client-facing skills: you can run a workshop, write a design and explain it to an executive
• Consulting or professional services experience is highly regarded
• Full Australian working rights

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end security architectures for AI agents and AI platforms, with identity at the core
• Define reference architectures and reusable patterns for agent identity, MCP and AI gateways, guardrails and secure tool access
• Design PAM and identity uplift programs that cover human, AI agent and non-human identities, and plan the path from a client's current state to target state
• Lead discovery and solution workshops with client architects, security teams and executives, and translate business risk into practical designs
• Shape proposals, estimates and statements of work alongside our sales team, and present solutions with confidence
• Build proofs of concept hands-on to validate designs and de-risk delivery
• Act as design authority during delivery, guiding engineers and making the calls when trade-offs arise
• Connect AI security to AI governance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, so controls map to what clients must demonstrate
• Track the fast-moving AI security vendor landscape and bring well-founded recommendations to clients and to Skillfield's offerings

The role

Location: Melbourne, hybrid

We're looking for a Solutions Architect specialising in AI security to shape how our clients secure artificial intelligence (AI) agents and the identities, application programming interfaces (APIs) and data they touch. You'll design the architectures behind Skillfield's next-generation security offerings and stay close enough to the build to prove they work.

You’ll own solution design across our AI security portfolio: API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint security, privileged access management (PAM) uplift for humans, AI agents and non-human identities (NHI), agentic identity, and AI security and governance with an AI gateway. You'll work with clients from first conversation to delivery, and with our engineers to turn designs into working solutions.
