Job summary

West Recruitment partners with a major infrastructure organisation in Sydney's Parramatta region to deliver a large technology transformation across infrastructure, cyber security and data platforms. The Solution Architect will guide architecture reviews, define requirements and ensure alignment across workstreams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technology architecture and a Solution Architect role.
• Experience reviewing vendor solution designs for technical integrity.
• Broad knowledge across infrastructure, networking, cloud, cyber security and data platforms.
• Experience in energy, utilities, construction, engineering or other critical infra environments.
• Delivered Infrastructure, cyber / Data, GIS, SCADA, asset building initiatives.
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, integration patterns and governance.
• Experience with Architecture Review Boards or Design Authorities.
• Experience with outsourced delivery partners and multiple vendors.
• Exposure to IT/OT integration and Azure/Entra ID is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and assurance of vendor high-level and low-level solution designs across infrastructure, cyber security and data.
• Assess proposed solutions for technical integrity, security, resilience, integration, scalability and operational supportability.
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment across interconnected systems and technology workstreams.
• Work with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, scope, dependencies and solution options.
• Prepare technical documentation and decision papers for Architecture Review Boards.
• Support the development of Statements of Work, business cases, procurement documentation and vendor evaluations.
• Ensure solutions meet relevant cyber security, regulatory and critical infrastructure requirements.
• Support integration between enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, cyber security platforms and operational technology environments.

Solution Architect

Day Rate Contract. $1250 per day. Immediate start. Parramatta Location. Hybrid work arrangement.

West Recruitment is partnering with a major organisation within the critical infrastructure sector as it undertakes a significant period of growth moving from design phase into implementation across multiple programs of work.

With significant investment underway, the organisation is delivering a complex, multi-year technology transformation program spanning infrastructure, cyber security, data, enterprise systems and operational technology.

About Your New Role

You will report to the Solution Lead Architect and provide architecture guidance, design assurance and requirements definition across multiple technology workstreams. This role is not suitable for someone who is currently an Enterprise Architect.

You will:

• Lead the review and assurance of vendor high-level and low-level solution designs across infrastructure, cyber security and data.
• Assess proposed solutions for technical integrity, security, resilience, integration, scalability and operational supportability.
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment across interconnected systems and technology workstreams.
• Work with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, scope, dependencies and solution options.
• Prepare technical documentation and decision papers for Architecture Review Boards.
• Support the development of Statements of Work, business cases, procurement documentation and vendor evaluations.

About You

You are an experienced Solution Architect with broad technical capability across infrastructure, cyber security and enterprise technology environments.

You will demonstrate:

• Demonstrable, seasoned experience in technology architecture and previous experience in a Solution Architect role.
• Strong experience reviewing and assuring vendor solution designs.
• Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, networking, cloud, cyber security and data platforms.
• Experience within energy, utilities, construction, engineering or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Delivered Infrastructure, cyber / Data, GIS, SCADA, asset building
• Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, integration patterns and technology governance.
• Experience working with Architecture Review Boards or technical Design Authorities.
• Experience working with outsourced delivery partners and multiple technology vendors.
• Exposure to IT/OT integration, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, cyber security architecture or enterprise asset management systems will also be advantageous.
