Meridian Lawyers in Melbourne is seeking a Solicitor with post-admission experience to join the Melbourne Recoveries team. You will develop your litigation, advocacy and practice management skills through hands-on responsibility for property and motor vehicle damage recovery matters, with supervision from Recoveries Principal Lawyers.

Qualifications

• One year or more of post-admission experience in insurance law or litigation, preferably including motor vehicle/property damage recoveries.
• Genuine interest in insurance litigation and recoveries work.
• Understanding of relevant legal issues and commercial objectives of clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to engage directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of litigated motor vehicle property damage recoveries and property insurance disputes.
• Advise on strategy, settlement negotiations and advocacy in a collaborative Recoveries team.
• Work under supervision of Recoveries Principal Lawyers and develop practice management skills.
