Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our market-leading Corporate Projects, Energy and Infrastructure (PEI) practice, based in Melbourne.

The Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leading partners Nick Baker, Madeleine Miller and Neena Aynsley on a range of corporate transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The team advises on the full deal lifecycle including a range of M&A, joint venture and project development matters, as well as sector specific commercial contracts such as power purchase and other offtake agreements.

Nick, Neena and Maddie operate as part of a broader national corporate team focussed on the energy and infrastructure sectors advising a myriad of private capital and industry clients. In the Melbourne team this includes regularly acting for clients such as ENGIE, AGL, EnergyAustralia, Alinta, Tilt Renewables, Brookfield, IFM, Morrison, Macquarie, QIC, AirTrunk and AustralianSuper.

This breadth and depth of client coverage in Australia, and regionally, gives team members fantastic industry exposure and sector insights. If you're excited by the challenge of the energy transition and associated electrification, then this might be the team for you.
