Job summary

Orion Power is seeking a Solar Electrician to join its team in Underwood, QLD. This full-time role involves installing, testing, commissioning, and servicing residential and commercial solar PV and battery systems across the region, supported by two trained helpers for battery installs.

You will perform AC/DC wiring, commissioning, and compliance work, while our roofing team handles panel mounting. The role offers paid overtime, a company vehicle, ongoing training, and clear growth opportunities

Qualifications

QLD Electrical Licence required.
SAA Accreditation - Solar and Battery.
Working at Heights and White Card.
Full driver's licence.
Minimum 1 year solar PV installation experience.
Battery installation experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission solar PV systems
Install and commission battery energy storage systems
Fault-find and repair solar and battery systems
Supervise and mentor apprentices and helpers
Complete compliance documentation and site reports
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Education

QLD Electrical Licence

SAA Accreditation - Solar and Battery

Working at Heights

White Card

Full driver's licence

Minimum 1 year solar PV installation experience

Battery installation experience preferred

As we continue to grow across New South Wales and expand into Queensland, we are looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join our team.

The Role

You will be responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and servicing residential and commercial solar PV and battery systems across Sydney.

Work Structure

Battery Installations

You will have 2 trained helpers onsite dedicated to battery installs, assisting with lifting, cable runs, pack-down, and general support so you can focus on electrical work and commissioning.

Solar PV Installations

You will not be required to climb roofs.
Our dedicated roofing team handles all roof-mounting, panel installation, rail setup, and rooftop works. As the electrician, you will attend site to complete the AC/DC wiring, testing, commissioning, and compliance, then head home once your part is complete.

Overtime

Paid overtime is available for additional hours.

Our office team manages scheduling, customer communication, compliance paperwork, and job preparation, allowing you to focus purely on installation quality and delivery.
