  • Perform system modelling, load calculations, cable sizing, energy yield assessments, and performance optimisation.
  • Support projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.
  • Ensure designs and project activities comply with Australian Standards, grid connection requirements, client specifications, and WHS requirements.
  • Support QA/QC processes, including inspections, testing, documentation, defect close-out, and handover requirements.
  • Identify practical design improvements, efficiencies, and value engineering opportunities.
About You

You are a motivated and practical engineer with experience in solar PV design, project engineering, or renewable energy project delivery.

You will bring:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, grid connection interfaces, and electrical design principles.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing SLDs, layouts, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in design and modelling tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS requirements, and renewable energy compliance obligations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work across office-based engineering and site-based project support.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Experience with utility-scale solar farms.
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems.
  • Clean Energy Council accreditation or equivalent industry accreditation.
  • Knowledge of National Electricity Rules and grid connection processes.
  • Experience with QA/QC, commissioning, defect close-out, and project handover documentation.
