Job summary

Solarig is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Solar O&M) to manage the continuous operations and maintenance of our solar assets. This full-time role in NSW offers strong growth potential, a safety-focused environment, and a clear path to advancing within a global renewable portfolio.

You will monitor performance, optimize power output, ensure grid compliance, and uphold electrical safety across utility-scale plants. A background in HV systems and SCADA tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or relevant degree.
• At least 1 year full-time professional experience.
• Qualifications must meet Engineers Australia Migration Skills Assessment.
• Experience in operational utility-scale renewable energy assets or HV infrastructure.
• Proficiency in power systems analysis, substation maintenance, SCADA tools, and protection settings software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SCADA and performance data to optimize operations.
• Ensure grid compliance and power quality with standards.
• Maintain and oversee HV assets, substations, inverters and protection systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of electrical failures to mitigate risks.
• Update electrical drawings and documentation to AS/NZS standards.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
