Job summary

Cleared Recruitment supports a Federal Government agency in hiring experienced Software Testers for on-site work in Canberra, Melbourne, or Adelaide. The role focuses on providing testing services for bespoke on-premises products and environments, including integration work with COTS where applicable.

Security clearance is required (High-level AGSVA). The contract is 12 months plus extensions, starting February 2026, with no remote work available.

Qualifications

• Experience with software testing across unit, integration, system and user acceptance testing.
• Proven ability to document acceptance criteria in user stories.
• Knowledge of secure coding guidelines, threat modelling and vulnerability mitigation.
• Experience in SDLC and testing in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide application testing support for on-premises products and environments.
• Conduct integration testing between applications and environments.
• Create test plans, test data and testing environments as needed.
• Produce test summary reports and status updates on testing activities.
• Identify and record discrepancies between actual and expected results.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with ICT stakeholders.
