Job summary

CorePlan, a Perth-born software company, seeks a Software Engineer to build features from UI through API layers. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate real customer problems into polished software.

The role spans frontend and backend work, with emphasis on scalable, high-quality code, AI-assisted workflows, and a strong focus on performance and observability. Hybrid work from our Perth office is available.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer at CorePlan, you'll build features that customers rely on every day, from the user interface through to the APIs behind it. You'll work closely with Product Managers and Designers to turn real customer problems into polished software.

What You Will Do

• Design, build and ship polished features end-to-end, from intuitive UIs to robust API logic.
• Work across frontend and backend services with product managers, UX/UI Designers and other teams to keep requirements clear and customers happy.

Qualifications and Fit

• 4+ years of experience building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS products in production.
• Experience with TypeScript, Python, React or similar modern programming languages and frameworks that power the web.
• Deep understanding of API design, relational database architecture (PostgreSQL or similar), and cloud services (AWS preferred).
• Comfortable using AI tools to speed up coding, debugging and everyday workflows.
• A proactive, engineering-first mindset with genuine curiosity for solving complex technical problems at scale.
• A collaborative, team-first approach and a passion for building great product experiences.

• Keeping field teams productive with offline-first sync between edge devices and the cloud.
• Solving hard data problems at scale, from query performance and indexing to caching for large, fast-growing datasets.
