Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and hands-on experience with Java, Python or C++, plus familiarity with Agile workflows using Jira

• Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse and translate requirements into software solutions.
• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software applications using modern engineering practices.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code across multiple languages and stacks.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects to ensure reliability and performance.
• Maintain, enhance and support existing software applications and systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including designs, test plans and user guides.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes including sprint planning and project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse and translate user and customer requirements into software solutions.
• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software applications using modern engineering practices.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code across a range of programming languages and technology stacks.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Maintain, enhance and support existing software applications and systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including software designs, test plans and user guides.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation and project tracking activities.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, tools and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptable, proactive and motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to innovative Defence-focused solutions.
