As a Developer III, you'll be an experienced contributor within the engineering team. You'll design and develop game software, contribute to technical and architectural decisions, participate in code reviews and help improve the development practices and reusable technology that support teams globally.

Location: Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and modify moderately complex, high-quality software applications and game features using sound computer science and software engineering principles.
  • Develop slot game functionality and supporting systems using Unity and C#/.NET.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, mathematicians, sound engineers, and fellow developers to turn game concepts into finished products.
  • Participate in creative problem solving, technical design and product development.
  • Contribute to architectural guidelines and technical solutions in collaboration with technical leadership.
  • Investigate relevant technologies, industry practices and development approaches that may improve our products and development processes.
  • Deliver multiple development tasks to agreed schedules and communicate progress clearly to the team and leadership.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and technical risks early, escalating concerns and contributing practical solutions.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, code validation and technical discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development processes, engineering quality and team efficiency.
  • Develop reusable and shareable technical solutions that benefit the wider development team.
  • Contribute to project and development estimates when required.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, technical quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

You’ll bring strong software development fundamentals together with hands-on experience developing interactive applications or games.

Technical skills

  • Advanced C# and .NET development skills.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming.
  • Strong working knowledge of SOLID principles and software design patterns.
  • Good understanding of software architecture and writing maintainable, reusable and testable code.

  • Solid experience using source/revision control systems, such as Perforce, Git or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with modern integrated development environments and debugging tools.
  • Ability to review code constructively and contribute to engineering standards and technical discussions.
  • Experience developing games, real-time interactive applications, animation systems, UI systems or other Unity-based products will be highly regarded.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and problem-solving while following security, privacy, and responsible-use standards.
Experience and qualifications

Typicallly, you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience with a Bachelor's degree; or
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline

You’ll be working in a multidisciplinary game studio where software engineering meets creativity. Rather than developing traditional business applications, you’ll help create entertainment products where mathematics, animation, graphics, sound, gameplay and technology all come together.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work on games developed for major US and APAC gaming markets.
  • Build products using Unity, C# and modern software engineering practices.
