• Serve as a technical point of contact for assigned R&D systems and capabilities.

The role

We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer - Research & Innovation to join a dynamic engineering team delivering advanced Defence technologies, concept demonstrators and rapid prototypes. As a Systems Engineer, you will work alongside experienced systems, software and specialist engineers to design, develop, integrate and validate R&D capabilities across multiple technology domains.

• Develop systems engineering artefacts for Defence R&D, proof-of-concept and rapid prototyping programs.
• Elicit and analyse stakeholder requirements to deliver fit-for-purpose capability outcomes.
• Support system architectures, requirements baselines and technical data packages.
• Align capabilities with product roadmaps, engineering strategies and future needs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Defence Delivery teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
