Job summary

Pinnacle Investment Management Group is seeking a developer to join their Brisbane-based team. The role focuses on building data-driven front-end dashboards and self-service access tools, with strong Python and SQL responsibilities.

You will work on ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate AI via Databricks, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions in a financial services context. Brisbane residents or those willing to relocate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in CS/IT/SE or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience building data-driven front-end applications and dashboards.
• Strong Python and SQL experience in a data/finance environment.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
• Familiarity with Airflow and Databricks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, wireframe and sign-off.
• Develop front-end menus, forms, and dashboards for self-service data access.
• Develop Python-based data processing using libraries like pandas; integrate APIs.
• Build and optimize SQL Server queries; design ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrate AI into processes using Databricks.
• Manage code in Git repository and versioning.
• Cleanse data and rationalise collection points and methods.
• Review and improve existing systems and processes.
• Automate business processes and support project implementation.
• Oversee service provider activities (logs, fixes, upgrades).
• Ensure data security and proper data management practices.
• Knowledge of Airflow and database design is valuable.
