BambooHR is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer/Developer with experience in PHP, Perl, Python or Ruby to contribute to the current and next generation of our app.

You will work on multiple projects to maintain and expand the #1 HR software for SMBs. If you enjoy solving problems and building world-class software, you will fit right in.

Qualifications

• > 5+ years of web development experience.
• Experience in PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Object Oriented development.
• MySQL—SQL and data design.
• Version control with Mercurial or Git.

Responsibilities

• Write code for backend processes, RESTful public web APIs, and our website.
• Research technologies and engineer complete solutions to problems.
• Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies.
• Work with the team to integrate projects into the application.

What You'll Do

What You Need to Get the Job Done (Minimum Qualifications)

• 5+ years experience in web development
• Experience in PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
• Object Oriented development
• MySQL - both SQL query language and database structure/design
• Version control software, preferably Mercurial or Git

• Additional C/C++experience a plus
