Job summary

Renaissance Info Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to translate customer needs into scalable product capabilities across platforms.

You will design, implement, and deploy robust software with a focus on API/Microservices using Spring Boot, while collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring high-quality, well-documented code.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering software in complex environments.
• Strong Java and Golang capabilities with Spring Boot.
• Experience building API/Microservices and deploying them with CI/CD.
• Familiarity with API gateways and container orchestration.
• Hands-on with DevOps tools used for automated builds and security.

As a Software Engineer, you thrive on understanding and translating customer needs into new products and capability. You apply deep technical expertise and experience in software application layer solutions, to develop and deliver scalable design blueprints across the end-to-end software development life cycle. Your continuous learning and improvement mindset, collaboration and influencing skills are critical to success in this role.

Acting as the software engineer of the group to perform design and implementation tasks for our various platforms. Main accountabilities are:

• Design and implement robust software solutions across multiple platforms with high-quality, well-tested code.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain codebases efficiently to ensure long-term stability and performance.
• Break down product requirements into actionable user stories and tasks, contributing to roadmap planning.
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to streamline delivery.
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to innovation within the team.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver feasible technical solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support cross-functional initiatives with expert guidance.
• Identify, resolve, and/or escape all issues that threaten the successful delivery of assigned initiatives.

• Advanced proficiency in Java is essential.
• Proficiency in Golang is highly advantageous.
• Strong experience in developing and deploying API/Microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Proven ability to decode and process high-performance network protocols.
• Familiarity with API gateways such as WSO2 or NGINX is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Bamboo, Jira, BitBucket/GitLab, SonarQube, and Veracode.
• Australian Citizenship and NV1 or higher Government Security Clearance required.
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a tight-knit team environment.
• Experience working with container technologies such as Docker and associated orchestration engines like Kubernetes.
• Good working knowledge with relational and non-relational database backends such as MySQL, MongoDB, Clickhouse etc
• Experience working with messaging systems like Kafka and ActiveMQ

• Candidates must be Australian Citizens and have current NV1/NV2 clearance minimum to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain an Australian Government NV1/NV2 security clearance.
