Job summary

Euro Car Parts Pty Ltd (Trading as ASV European Auto Spares) in Villawood, NSW is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise software solutions that support our operations. You will work on APIs, databases and cloud-based services, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable business systems.

The role requires a degree in a software-related field and at least 3 years of experience; knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, AWS and Git is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, IT or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong programming, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with enterprise software, databases and integrations.
• Knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, AWS, Git, ERP platforms is advantageous.

About the Role

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining enterprise software applications and business systems that support the company's operations. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of software solutions, system integrations, databases and cloud-based technologies to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, analyse and evaluate business and system requirements to identify software solutions and opportunities for improvement.
• Design, develop, implement and maintain enterprise software applications and business systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations and backend services connecting internal and third-party platforms.
• Design, optimise and maintain database structures and software architectures.
• Conduct software testing, debugging, diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.
• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability.
• Support cloud-based infrastructure and deployment environments.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides and operational procedures.
• Provide technical advice regarding software design, system architecture, upgrades and technology solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective software solutions that support business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• At least3 years of relevant experiencein software engineering, software development, systems development or enterprise application development.
• Strong programming, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with software testing, debugging, systems analysis and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise software applications, databases and system integrations.
• Experience with technologies such as Python, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, AWS, Git, ERP platforms or similar technologies will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
