Job summary

Labour Support Group in Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW, seeks an experienced Software Engineer for a full-time role. Salary is AU$80,000 plus super. You will design, develop and maintain software across cloud, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/IT field.
• 2+ years designing secure cloud-native, IoT, embedded and cyber software.
• 2+ years APIs, microservices, firmware and system integration.
• 2+ years CI/CD, IaC, automated testing and secure deployments.
• 2+ years web services: SOAP/REST/JMS; adapters like JDBC/FILE/FTP/AQ.
• 2+ years reporting with Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, XML Publisher or similar.
• 2+ years designing cloud apps with Oracle PaaS/SaaS (OCI, PCS).
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver on time.

Beeinfosec Pty Ltd is an Australian technology company specialising in the design, development, and deployment of complex cloud-native applications, enterprise-level software platforms, and integrated digital solutions.

They now seek an experienced Software Engineer to join their technical team in Brighton-Le Sands, NSW.

The Role

This is a full-time position with an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into secure and scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain applications and systems across cloud, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity platforms.
• Build and enhance software components, APIs and internal tools to support security, automation and system integration.
• Identify and resolve software defects, performance issues and security vulnerabilities through structured testing and debugging.
• Develop and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps pipelines using automation tools and best practices.
• Integrate security controls including encryption, authentication and risk mitigation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support cybersecurity related development including vulnerability assessment tools, monitoring systems and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop and maintain firmware and software for IoT devices, embedded systems and autonomous drone technologies.
• Implement CI/CD processes, automated testing and deployment workflows to ensure reliable software delivery.
• Analyse system and operational data to improve performance, reliability and security posture.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system designs, operational procedures and user guides.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support solution design, architecture decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct technical research, feasibility assessments and solution architecture activities to support the development of innovative software and engineering solutions.
• Contribute to technical planning, decision making and solution scalability initiatives while collaborating across development, operational and business functions to support service expansion and long term business growth.

The Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology
• Minimum 2 years' experience designing secure cloud native, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity software architectures
• At least 2 years' experience developing APIs, microservices, firmware, automation tools and system integration components
• Minimum 2 years' experience building DevSecOps pipelines using CI/CD, IaC, automated testing and secure deployment controls
• At least 2 years' experience implementing web service integrations using SOAP, REST, JMS, and adapters such as JDBC, FILE, FTP, and AQ
• At least 2 years' experience building custom reports using Oracle Reports 10g, BI Publisher, XML Publisher, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and PLSQL based reporting programs
• At least 2 years' experience designing and building cloud based applications using Oracle PaaS and SaaS services including Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle PCS
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and deliver high-quality outcomes within defined timelines.
