What you'll be doing

The provision of a comprehensive social work service to patients, their families and carers of North Shore Ryde Health Service (NSRHS) ensuring the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.

This position will provide a social work service at an advanced level of clinical practice to patients, their families and carers experiencing age related health conditions.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Social Work.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical skills in comprehensive psycho-social assessments, counselling and therapeutic interventions, complex clinical casework, group work, advocacy and discharge planning.
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience at a Level 2 or above in working with patients, families and carers with age related conditions.
