Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a Social Work Assistant for a fixed-term role in Perth City. The successful candidate will support vulnerable individuals in the community, undertaking assessments and coordinating care packages, including outcome-focused reviews and flexible care arrangements.

The post is a full-time secondment with a fixed end date of 28 February 2027. Driving licence is required to travel across Perth and Kinross; sponsorship is not available.

A temporary vacancy has arisen for a full time Social Work Assistant in the Perth City.

The post will cover a secondment.

The successful applicant will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of social work and care management tasks. These include carrying out Outcome Focussed Assessments, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.
