Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Team Lead, Security Operations to join our Managed Security Operations Centre in Melbourne. You will lead a small team of Security Analysts, act as escalation point for complex investigations, and own daily delivery of managed security services across customer environments.

You will coach and mentor the team, drive detections tuning, and work with customers to translate technical findings into business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Security Operations Centre, Managed Security Service Provider, MDR environment or complex enterprise security operations.
• Proficient in investigating security incidents using SIEM, EDR/XDR and related telemetry.
• Ability to interpret security logs and identify suspicious activity.
• Experience with cloud security telemetry (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
• Mentoring or leading security analysts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Security Analysts, providing regular feedback and career development support.
• Act as escalation point for complex security investigations and high-severity incidents.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of managed security services across customer environments.
• Ensure customer reporting and service commitments are delivered on time.
• Coordinate workload, delegation and quality assurance within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours security operations.
• Support investigation and containment of incidents and determine need for DFIR support.
• Utilize telemetry to guide investigations and mentor analysts through complex scenarios.
• Contribute to development and tuning of detections for customer-specific needs.
• Support onboarding of new customers and technologies into the managed service.
• Build relationships with customers and internal teams; translate findings into actions.
• Drive continuous improvement across security operations and processes.
