Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment seeks a skilled Security Analyst with SOC experience in Canberra. The role requires strong capabilities in threat detection, security monitoring, vulnerability assessment and incident response, plus current TSPV/TS-PA clearance.

You will conduct threat-driven analysis, monitor security events, develop incident response playbooks, and collaborate with technical leadership across system testing and evaluation activities. Contract position paying AU$140 per hour.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated SOC experience as a Security Analyst.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Experience with EDR platforms.
• Experience with NDR platforms.
• Experience with SOAR platforms.
• Strong understanding of threat detection and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat-driven analysis of system security and emerging cyber threats.
• Analyse threat intelligence and identify system-specific risks.
• Monitor security events and detect potential incidents.
• Develop and execute incident response plans and playbooks.
• Assess vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
• Review security controls and identify gaps or weaknesses.
• Develop procedures for security event monitoring and analysis.
• Support technical leadership and system testing and evaluation activities.
