Job summary

Leidos is seeking individuals for GEO SPACES Security Operations roles in Canberra. The positions require Australian citizenship, active NV2 clearance, and willingness to uplift to TSPV security clearance and to attain DISA/OSA readiness.

Roles involve delivering security operations across monitoring, vulnerability management and engineering teams with flexibility based on skills and experience. Junior and senior level opportunities are available, with expectations of IT security or general IT

Qualifications

• Australian citizen with an active NV2

• DISA/OSA suitability
• 2 years’ IT security experience or 4 years in general IT support for cloud, network, gateway or endpoint technologies
• 5–10 years in senior roles delivering listed security operations functions
• Experience in AGO or other intelligence agency is preferred

Due to the nature of the role, you must be anAustralian Citizen who holds an active NV2 & be willing to uplift to TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for aDISA/OSA.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

The GEO SPACES Security Operations roles are identified in the Information System Security Management Plan under the GEO SPACES contract.

These roles will report directly to the GEO SPACES Security Operations Team Lead and be capable of operating independently within the scope of their duties. There is an element of flexibility in these roles based on available skills and experience. SOC analyst and Security Engineers will work to collectively deliver the following functions:

• Monitoring, detection and response
• Vulnerability management
• IT security engineering, including SIEM, endpoint, network, gateway and detection engineering
• Provide trusted advisory services
• Develop security operations related system requirements
• Change review and approvals
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, including with partner SOCs and security authorities in and out of Defence

During that period, it is expected that the following will mature within the Security Operations team:

• Team structure and alignment to capability delivery to support the larger team and expected higher cadence of work
• Process and procedure for both internal operations and engagement with external capabilities
• Reporting within the Leidos structure, the agency and other authorities.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

Experience levels that are commensurate with various levels of security operations roles, a passion for IT security operations and the ability to work We are also looking for people that can work well as part of our team.

In junior roles, two years’ experience in IT security or four years in general IT support for cloud, network, gateway or endpoint technologies. Scripting and broader coding experience is valuable.

In senior roles, 5-10 years experience delivering the functions listed in Role Description, motivation to drive growth and maturation of existing capabilities and willingness to contribute to the growth of junior team members. Ideally, previous experience working in an AGO or other intelligence agency, and an understanding of key stakeholders and processes associated with delivering security operations in a Defence context.
