Suncorp Group seeks a Senior Climate Risk Advisor to shape the group’s climate scenario analysis across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on transition risk and NGFS scenarios. You will oversee the group-wide framework, inform risk management, strategic planning and climate resilience assessments.

In this role you will support disclosures, governance and assurance activities, building strong relationships across the business while navigating a dynamic reporting landscape.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering climate scenario analysis, especially transition risk.
• Familiar with NGFS scenarios, pathways, data or related methodologies.
• Background in climate reporting, sustainability, financial reporting or strategy.

About The Role

Join our highly collaborative Environment and Climate team to help shape Suncorp Group’s approach to climate scenario analysis. You will oversee the group-wide framework across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on transition risk and NGFS scenarios. Your analysis will inform risk management, strategic planning and climate resilience assessments.

Working across a complex and constantly changing reporting landscape, you will support disclosures, governance and assurance activities while building strong relationships across the business.

You will join a close‑knit, highly collaborative team within a leading Trans‑Tasman Insurer where your professional development is highly regarded.

What You'll Do

• Develop Suncorp’s climate scenario analysis approach in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Deliver transition risk analysis using relevant NGFS scenarios, methodologies and assumptions.
• Translate climate findings into practical insights for risk management and strategic planning.
• Coordinate assurance activities and work with third‑party audit providers.
• Prepare methodology notes, governance papers and submissions for management and board consideration.

What You'll Bring

• Experience delivering climate scenario analysis, particularly for transition risk.
• Practical experience using NGFS scenarios, pathways, data or related methodologies would be highly regarded.
• Experience in climate reporting, sustainability, financial reporting, strategy, actuarial work or a related field.
• Strong research skills and knowledge of evolving climate reporting requirements and practices.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex climate information to varied audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
