Job summary

Peoplebank in Australia is seeking a Data Engineer to join a high-performing Systems team. You will design, build and optimise scalable cloud data solutions in a Snowflake environment, using dbt Core and Python to enable reliable data delivery across the organisation.

The 6 months initial contract offers the chance to work on a modern enterprise data platform, with exposure to large-scale data initiatives and a collaborative, technically driven team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake and dbt Core.
• Demonstrated experience with Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling methodologies.
• Experience developing, maintaining and optimising modern cloud-based data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the enterprise data platform.
• Design, build and maintain scalable, reusable dbt models and macros.
• Develop and support data pipelines using dbt Core and Snowflake.
• Refactor and optimise existing data solutions to improve performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews, technical discussions, testing and troubleshooting activities.
