Job summary

FemEdge Solutions is seeking an experienced SMSF professional to take a leadership role in its SMSF division in Melbourne. You will own client relationships, mentor a team and influence the division's direction from day one.

The role combines client advisory work, technical review and people leadership, with a clear pathway toward ownership and equity partnership for high performers.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on SMSF experience and Australian taxation knowledge.
• Proven ability to review SMSF compliance and provide technical guidance.
• Confident in managing client relationships and leading client conversations.
• Experience coaching or supervising team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships and lead a team within the SMSF division.
• Attend and lead strategic client meetings with business owners and high-net-worth clients.
• Review SMSF compliance and advisory work, providing technical guidance.
• Mentor and develop team members and manage workflow and priorities.
• Contribute to leadership decisions and business improvement initiatives.
• Progress towards Associate and Equity Partner through leadership and results.

Our client is an established Accounting and Advisory firm that is seeking an experienced SMSF professional to take on a key leadership role within its specialist SMSF division.

This opportunity combines client advisory work, technical review and people leadership, with a genuine pathway towards ownership for someone looking to build a long-term future with the firm.

The opportunity

Working directly with experienced SMSF Advisers and the leadership team, you'll take ownership of client relationships and team outcomes from day one. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the division operates while developing your own portfolio of trusted client relationships.

• Manage and strengthen relationships with business owners, professionals and high-net-worth clients
• Attend and lead strategic client meetings
• Review SMSF compliance and advisory work, providing technical guidance
• Mentor and develop team members
• Manage workflow, priorities and team performance
• Contribute to leadership decisions and business improvement initiatives
• Build towards Associate and Equity Partner, with progression earned through leadership, contribution and results

About you

You're an experienced SMSF professional who can work independently, build client confidence and support a team to deliver quality work. You enjoy taking responsibility and want an opportunity to contribute to the future of a business.

• Significant hands-on SMSF experience and strong Australian taxation knowledge
• Proven experience reviewing SMSF compliance work and identifying technical issues
• Confident managing client relationships and leading client conversations
• Experience coaching, mentoring or supervising team members

• Able to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and follow through
• Collaborative, approachable and open to continued learning
• Exposure to SMSF strategies, contributions, pensions, estate planning or succession planning will be highly regarded

What success looks like

Within your first 12 months, you'll take ownership of a substantial client portfolio, confidently lead meetings and become a trusted contact for key clients. You'll also drive workflow and team outcomes, develop staff and contribute meaningfully to leadership discussions.
