Job summary

Andresen McCarthy Partners in Melbourne (Eltham area) seeks an SMSF accountant to join its young, dynamic team. You will process SMSF financial reports and tax returns using Class Super, liaise with clients, and help ensure compliance throughout the fund lifecycle.

The role requires CPA/CA qualification or nearing it, plus 3+ years in the SMSF sector, solid tax knowledge, and excellent communication. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience within the SMSF sector.
• Experience using Class Super.
• CPA/CA qualified or nearly qualified.
• General Tax knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Hands-on attitude and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Processing SMSF financial reports and tax returns using Class Super.
• Liaising with clients throughout the fund's compliance process and reviewing upon completion.
• Identify potential compliance issues and opportunities.
• Continual communication with the Business Services team, Financial Planner, Auditor and ATO.

The role will largely involve:

Processing SMSF financial reports and tax returns using Class super

Liaising with clients throughout the process of completing the fund's compliance work and a review on completion

Identify potential compliance issues and opportunities

Continually communicate with the Business Services team, Financial Planner, Auditor and ATO
