Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead ECI estimating across NSW utilities projects, driving first-principles costings for water, wastewater and distribution schemes. The role involves coordinating with clients, partners and subcontractors, mentoring junior staff and delivering accurate, well-justified estimates.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related trade.
• 7+ years of senior estimator experience in a tier 1 environment.
• Experience in Water/Waste Water, Power or Gas Utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) estimating process with clients, partners and subcontractors.
• Lead estimates, set up templates, develop procurement schedules and present first principles methodologies.
• Develop accurate estimates for utility projects (water and wastewater) using first principles.
• Research labour costs, materials and production times to inform estimates.
• Review offers from subcontractors or vendors; mentor junior estimating staff.
