Job summary

SRG Global is seeking a skilled SMP Estimator to join our Asset Maintenance Services division. This role supports capital projects by delivering accurate tenders across structural, mechanical and piping scopes.

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will estimate and develop bids, collaborating with engineers, suppliers and clients to ensure robust, commercially sound submissions and a healthy order book.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating SMP scopes in industrial/maintenance settings.
• Strong take-off accuracy using first-principles methods.
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement and delivery teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review tender docs to determine project scope accurately.
• Develop first-principles SMP estimates for labour, materials and indirect costs.
• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors for competitive pricing.
• Conduct site visits to confirm constructability and execution planning.
• Lead bid presentations with full scope and commercial rationale.
• Prepare detailed estimating spreadsheets and cost databases.
• Support project handover with scope, methodology and budget assumptions.
• Identify value-add opportunities during the tender process.
• Stay updated with industry trends and market rates.
• Ensure compliance with SRG Global tender procedures and quality standards.
