Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council offers a 12‑week paid internship program, My Summer Workplace, to help you start your career with hands-on experience, networks and confidence. The program runs November 2026 to February 2027, with four days per week and a two‑week Christmas break.

As the Intern – Smart Cities, you will collect and analyse transport data, prepare dashboards and reports, and contribute to AI, computer vision, and micromobility projects.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in a tertiary course with 16+ subjects completed.
• Recent graduates within 12 months are eligible.
• TAFE Diploma within 12 months is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organise transport and mobility data.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and visualisations to share findings.
• Support AI, computer vision and micromobility projects.
• Maintain project records and support delivery with the team.
