The University of Melbourne is seeking a Research Assistant to support the LUMOS sleep and circadian study, tracking sleep patterns in youth with psychosis. You will gain hands‑on experience in clinical interviewing, neurocognitive assessment and longitudinal research within a multidisciplinary team at Orygen.

Occasional off‑site visits and some out‑of‑hours work required; initiative in data capture and teamwork will be valued to drive early intervention outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Honours‑level degree in behavioural or social sciences, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong interest in youth mental health and understanding of psychiatric diagnoses.
• Ability to conduct structured interviews with young people in mental health settings.
• Ability to follow complex research protocols and maintain precise records.
• Experience with electronic data capture platforms, preferably REDCap, for secure data entry and basic analysis.
• Ability to manage workloads independently across multiple sites and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Recruit and enrol young participants into the LUMOS sleep and circadian study across clinical services.
• Conduct structured clinical interviews and neurocognitive assessments, including pupil measures and computerised tasks.
• Maintain accurate, confidential participant records and study databases per Good Clinical Practice.
• Liaise with clinical teams, young people and families for recruitment, follow‑up and engagement over 12 months.
• Assist with ethics and governance submissions, SOPs, manuscripts and presentations for project meetings.
