Job summary

Out Of The Blue Adventures is seeking a qualified marine professional to safely operate vessels and deliver memorable snorkelling tours and whale-watching charters. The role includes managing bar crossings and providing top-tier guest experiences on the M.V Jasmine 17 m luxury bar and dining vessel along the Bruns River.

The ideal candidate has Master 5 and MED 2 qualifications, at least 5 years in marine tourism, and strong safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold Master 5 and MED 2 qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the marine tourism industry.
• Minimum 3 years' experience conducting bar crossings, including Ballina and/or Brunswick River Bar experience preferred.
• Proven commercial vessel operating experience.
• Strong commitment to passenger safety and safety management procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a tourism-focused team.
• Current first aid, radio and other relevant commercial marine certifications.
• Reliable, professional attitude and flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

About you
