Job summary

Wallace Hind – Construction Temps on behalf of our client is seeking a Skilled Labourer to work on a Cambridge site, assisting Plumber and Pipe Fitters. You will be shown what needs doing, fix clips, and be provided with tools to complete tasks safely.

Hours are 7:30–16:30, totaling around 42.5 hours per week for a 3‑month contract starting Monday 12th October 2026. Payroll will be handled via Quest Pay Solutions and payments are CIS.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card is required.
• PPE must be worn on site.
• UTR is required to enable CIS payments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plumber and Pipe Fitters on site.
• Fix clips as directed and use necessary tools.
• Follow on-site instructions and work with existing crew.

Job description

My client is the mechanical subcontractor on site and requires a Skilled Labourer to work on two floors assisting the Pipe Fitters.

HOURLY RATE :

£18.00 per hour – CIS

LOCATION :

Cambridge (CB4)

DATE COMMENCING :

Monday 12th October 2026

LENGTH OF CONTRACT :

3 months

HOURS OF WORK :

• 7:30 – 16:30
• Book 9 hours per day

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Skilled Labourer

As a Skilled Labourer, you will be on site to assist the Plumber and Pipe Fitters. There are a number of clips that require fixing – you will be shown, what needs doing and how to do it correctly. You will be given any tools needed for the job.

REQUIREMENTS :

• CSCS Card
• PPE
• UTR – to enable CIS payments

PERSON SPECIFICATION :

• Can communicate and work well with those already on site, and follow instructions
• Can work the 42.5 hours required each week
• Have experience of working on a construction site
• Be able to turn your hand to most things.

You will be paid via our payroll partner Quest Pay Solutions, and one of their Account Managers will contact you before you start work. All workers will be paid by CIS.
