Job summary

Alcoa Corporation in Western Australia seeks an experienced Learning & Development Supervisor to lead a team of trainers, drive capability across mining operations and embed high-quality learning systems. You will guide delivery, mentor teams and ensure workforce competency aligns with safety and operational standards.

You will plan training programs, oversee traineeships and monitor performance while driving onboarding and leadership initiatives to uplift site capability.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Workplace & Training required.
• Experience delivering workplace training in manufacturing/operational settings.
• Ability to develop training materials and apply adult learning techniques.
• Proven leadership, coaching and team development experience.
• Strong communication, documentation and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with LMS and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop trainers and assessors to deliver training outcomes.
• Plan and implement training programs aligned with operational priorities.
• Oversee traineeship programs and employee development pathways.
• Monitor and report on training performance; identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with training standards, systems and audits.
• Support onboarding, leadership development initiatives and site capability uplift.
