Job summary

Quayclean is seeking a Full-time Supervisor to lead and support cleaning operations at Ipswich Grammar School. This hands-on leadership role combines supervision with cleaning duties to ensure the site meets Quayclean’s quality, safety and service standards.

You will coordinate day-to-day activities, develop team members, perform quality and safety checks, and maintain strong communication with the client and Quayclean management.

• Current Police Check.
• Current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the cleaning team to meet daily targets and standards.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-time Supervisor to lead and support cleaning operations at Ipswich Grammar School.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining supervision of the cleaning team with cleaning duties to ensure the site consistently meets Quayclean’s quality, safety and service standards.

You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day cleaning activities, supporting and developing team members, conducting quality and safety checks, and maintaining strong communication with Quayclean management and the client.

The role will suit someone who enjoys being part of the day-to-day operation while also taking ownership of team performance and service delivery. The position may have responsibility for supervising a team of up to 12 employees.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the cleaning team, including allocating and coordinating daily duties
• Working alongside the team and completing cleaning duties as required
• Monitoring attendance, performance and completion of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Conducting regular quality inspections and addressing any areas that do not meet required standards
• Ensuring cleaning schedules, periodic works and contractual requirements are completed
• Conducting toolbox talks and reinforcing safe work practices, PPE requirements and hygiene standards
• Providing on-the-job coaching, training and support to new and existing team members
• Monitoring cleaning equipment, consumables and stock levels to ensure the team has what it needs
• Ensuring equipment is maintained appropriately and safety incidents are reported and escalated
• Maintaining positive communication with the client, site representatives and Quayclean management
• Completing required site reporting, inspections, checklists and other operational documentation

• Previous cleaning experience, with supervisory or team leadership experience highly regarded
• Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a cleaning team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A hands-on approach and willingness to assist with cleaning duties
• Good organisation skills and the ability to coordinate competing operational priorities
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of the wider Quayclean team
• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Current Police Check
