Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor Construction to lead on-site delivery of civil works across road, drainage, kerb, footpaths and cycleways.
The role involves planning, scheduling and supervising crews on Council and State road networks, with a focus on safety, quality and timely delivery. A 4-day work week and competitive salary enhance this hands-on leadership position.
Lead meaningful civil construction projects that shape how our community moves, connects and safely enjoys our city. We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor who can confidently plan work, guide crews and deliver quality construction projects across a diverse local government environment.
As Site Supervisor Construction, you will be part of our City Construction team within City Works, leading the on-site delivery of Council’s civil construction works program. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will plan, schedule and supervise works across projects such as road rehabilitation and reconstruction, drainage upgrades, kerb and channel works, footpaths and cycleways.
You will supervise teams on Council and State road networks and at times through privately owned property, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. Your day-to-day work will include coordinating Council and contract plant and labour, applying quality assurance requirements, managing project costs, maintaining environmental controls and keeping the Construction Works Coordinator informed on progress, budgets and delivery risks.
Our ideal candidate is a confident civil construction supervisor who brings strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills and a genuine commitment to safe, high-quality work. You will be comfortable reading complex plans and specifications, setting out works to tight tolerances and making sound decisions on site with minimal supervision.
