Job summary

GHD is offering a Summer Internship Program for Civil Engineering students in 2026/27, based in Gladstone and Townsville. You’ll gain hands-on experience across infrastructure, transport, water, industrial and community development projects.

During the three-month internship, you’ll work with design teams, assist in technical calculations and drawings, participate in site visits, and receive feedback to help your graduate journey.

Qualifications

• Penultimate or pre-penultimate Civil Engineering student.
• Interest in gaining hands-on experience across infrastructure projects.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Civil Engineers in the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation of technical calculations, drawings, reports, and design documentation.
• Contribute to project coordination activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gain practical project experience.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and the development of engineering solutions.
• Support project delivery by helping manage schedules, deliverables, and client requirements.
