Job summary

Bouygues Construction Australia is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across civil infrastructure projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials, and site activities to meet project plans and specifications.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to read multiple discipline drawings, and experience managing trades on large-scale projects. Proactive reporting and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-site construction activities across civil or related projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil plans.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and resolving on-site conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce the project schedule with short-term look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and site personnel.
• Ensure all work meets drawings, specs, quality standards, and codes.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety and progress meetings.
• Monitor productivity and address schedule risks.
• Communicate progress and changes to the Project Manager.
• Review plans for constructability and coordinate inspections with authorities.
• Maintain reports, site logs, and delivery documentation.
• Manage site logistics and assist with project closeout activities.
