Dematic is seeking a Site Safety Officer for a 12–18 month fixed-term contract based on site in Tarneit, Melbourne. You will drive safety excellence on a major automated warehousing project, working closely with Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors to embed best-practice WHSE standards.

You will lead day-to-day WHSE initiatives, conduct inspections and investigations, and influence a safety-first culture across a multi-contractor environment, with transition potential to a permanent

Qualifikationen

• WHSE audits, inspections and incident investigations experience.
• Ability to influence safe behaviours and drive accountability across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• White Card and Australian Driver's Licence are required.

Aufgaben

• Provide WHSE advisory support across all project activities.
• Champion a proactive safety culture on site.
• Conduct site inspections, safety observations, audits and risk assessments.
• Facilitate site inductions, toolbox talks and pre-start meetings.
• Review SWMS, procedures and permits, and support safety documentation.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to the Site Safety Management Plan improvements.
• Maintain hazard and risk registers and safety reporting.
