Job summary
University of Sydney is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help deliver ICT initiatives that shape education, research and innovation. You will work in a high-performing Cloud Operations team across multi-clouds, focusing on automation, observability and operational excellence to keep cloud services secure and scalable.
You’ll collaborate with engineers, providers and ICT stakeholders to drive improvements while supporting the university’s mission and global campus infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to support cloud infrastructure in multi-cloud settings.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security and operations in cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimise cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking and security issues to maintain reliable services.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with managed service providers, technical teams and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions and service improvements.
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, security and cost, ensuring services are scalable and fit for purpose.
