Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Liquidity Platform, supporting the Commodities and Global Markets business. You will help shape SRE practices, improve reliability, monitoring and automation on a cloud-based platform, collaborating with application support, platform operations and software engineering to meet daily delivery deadlines.

This role requires hands-on SRE/DevOps experience, strong debugging across apps/infrastructure, and proficiency with Python,

Qualifications

Hands-on experience across Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, platform or software engineering.
Strong troubleshooting across applications, infrastructure and data.
Programming with Python and automation focus; comfortable changing unfamiliar code safely with code review.
Experience with Kubernetes and containers, ideally EKS.
Solid AWS and Linux fundamentals; working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/Aurora).
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting; ability to decide what's worth measuring in a complex platform.

Help build and shape our site reliability engineering practices as the team’s first dedicated SRE.
