Job summary

Holcim Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer – Humes to oversee efficient QA system compliance and QC on a major infrastructure project. You will help ensure daily product manufactured aligns with Australian and Main Roads standards.

The role offers an 18-month fixed-term contract, exposure to a world-leading sustainable building materials company, and opportunities to contribute to precast and reinforced concrete solutions within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Quality Control and/or relevant Engineering disciplines.
• Understanding of Mechanical or Civil Engineering principles.
• Experience in prestress, precast or reinforced concrete is highly regarded.
• Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports to track QA costs weekly.
• Ensure testing standards are met.
• Develop and manage the QA schedule.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor to set up moulds.
• Ensure inventory stocks for manufactured products.
• Verify new products weekly meet standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure product quality.
• Conduct materials testing to verify specs.
