Job summary

Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) seeks a site-based Training Officer to facilitate and administer the Mining Department Training plan. The role focuses on delivering inductions, promoting training activities, and maintaining training documentation on a dynamic mining site.

The successful candidate will have Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122) preferred, a valid Australian driver’s licence, and 5+ years’ experience in a similar training role, with CAT haul truck exposure and mining

Qualifications

• Cert IV Training & Assessment preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar training role
• Experience operating CAT Rigid Haul Trucks
• Experience using Mining equipment simulators

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Mining Dept. induction and orientation program for new Mining Production personnel.
• Promote and deliver training activities within the Mining Dept to meet Site Training Needs Analysis targets.
• Ensure accurate development of training documentation and undertake training administration duties.
• Facilitate Production Mining training forecast meetings and report on adherence to the weekly plan.
• Develop, review, and implement training and assessment material.
• Provide timely feedback to stakeholders on learner progression.
• Conduct administrative and reporting duties to support the Mining Training Plan.
• Adhere to all training and operational procedures.
