Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment has partnered with a leading ACT builder to recruit an experienced Site Manager for landmark commercial projects valued between $20M and $30M. You will lead day-to-day site operations, manage subcontractors, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery across Canberra.

You will collaborate with the Project Manager, clients and consultants, maintaining program discipline and ensuring adherence to budget and standards on multiple high-profile developments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering commercial construction projects.
• Ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site construction activities from setup to handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Drive programme and productivity to meet milestones.
• Maintain WHS compliance and safety culture.
• Ensure QA processes are followed throughout build.
• Lead site meetings with consultants, clients and stakeholders.
• Resolve site issues to avoid schedule impact.
• Mentor supervisors and junior staff.
