Job summary

Buildcorp is seeking an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to lead our Victorian delivery team on complex commercial construction and fit-out projects in Melbourne. This senior on-site role runs day-to-day operations, drives program, leads subcontractors and upholds quality, safety and client experience.

You'll bring strong leadership, technical craft and the presence to match the high standards expected by our clients and Buildcorp.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Site Manager delivering commercial construction, fit-out and refurbishment in Melbourne.
• Strong technical understanding of fit-out and interiors, and live-environment/occupied-building experience.
• Strong subcontractor leadership to maximise performance from trade teams.
• Clear communicator representing Buildcorp professionally with clients, consultants and authorities.
• Relevant qualifications in Building, Construction Management or trade background.
• Experience within a Tier 2 head contractor environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end site delivery from early works through to practical completion and handover.
• Drive the construction program with look-aheads, sequencing, resource planning and productivity.
• Lead and coordinate large multi-disciplinary subcontractor teams across all trades.
• Own site safety culture and WHS compliance across every work front.
• Set and maintain quality standards aligned with Buildcorp's reputation and client expectations.
• Partner with the lead delivery and commercial teams to deliver on time, on budget and on brief.
• Manage client, consultant and authority interface on site.
• Mentor and develop junior site staff.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to join our Victorian delivery team. This is a senior on-site leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of commercial construction and fit-out projects - running site operations day-to-day, driving program, leading subcontractors, and holding the line on quality, safety and client experience.

You'll be stepping into a role that has been held to a very high standard, so we're looking for someone who can bring both the technical craft and the leadership presence to match.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we're looking for

• Proven track record as a Site Manager (or Senior Site Manager) delivering commercial construction, fit-out and / or refurbishment projects in Melbourne
• Strong technical understanding of fit-out and interiors (joinery, services coordination, finishes trades) and ideally live-environment / occupied-building experience
• Strong subcontractor leadership - able to get the best out of trade teams through respect, clarity and consistency
• Clear communicator who can represent Buildcorp professionally with clients, consultants, authorities and subbies
• Relevant qualifications in Building, Construction Management or trade background
• Experience within a Tier 2 head contractor environment preferred
