Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Site Manager in Cairns to lead construction projects on site, reviewing design, planning, organizing and controlling progress while ensuring safety and quality.

The role emphasizes managing subcontractors, coordinating with Consulting & Project Design teams, and delivering the project within time, cost and scope. Candidates should have engineering qualifications and broad experience in brownfield retrofit, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar; trade background preferred.
• 10 years related industry experience in brownfield contracts, retrofit and upgrade.
• Experience in security or controls is desirable.
• Knowledge of Design Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Supervision, and managing schedules/sub-contractors.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic team environment.

A Site Manager assists in completing construction projects by reviewing design, planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the sub-contractors
• Managing customer satisfaction onsite
• Ensure to achieve the required construction result within the scope time, quality and schedule
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
• Review Honeywell Issue for construction documentation together with Consultants & Project Design documents for compliance with Specification, buildability and commission ability
• Security and access management onsite

Key Experience & Capabilities

• Preferably Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, trade background.
• 10 years related industry experience in Brown field contracts doing retrofit and upgrade
• Experience in Security or controls
• Knowledge in Design Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Supervision, Managing schedule, managing sub-contractors
• Highly proficient in all the key areas of onsite management
• Construction/site supervision of Controls, Mechanical or Electrical personnel
• Good team building skills and experience in leading and managing the day-to-day activities onsite
• Professional and responsible with clients, employees, subcontractors and management
• Experience in time and resource management, including HSE and sub-contractor management
• Excellent verbal/written/presentation skills
• Ability to work and prosper in a flexible dynamic team environment
