Job summary

DCOH in Darwin is seeking a hands-on site leader to coordinate construction, maintenance and repair activities, ensuring work is completed safely and to schedule with a focus on build quality.

You will interpret plans, manage labour, materials and equipment, mentor team members and liaise with trades and management to keep programmes on track and uphold site safety and standards. This role requires practical leadership, problem solving on the fly, and a strong commitment to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Leading Hand or senior labouring on construction sites.
• Strong practical skills across maintenance, repair and building activities.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs and work instructions.
• Proven leadership with mentoring on site and effective communication.
• Hold White Card and a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide hands-on support on site.
• Coordinate daily site activities and monitor progress safely.
• Manage resources, tools and equipment to maintain productivity.
• Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Liaise with tradespeople, subcontractors and management.
