Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Site Lead to guide day-to-day production and warehouse activities at the Mulgrave facility. You will provide operational support to keep the site organised, safe and running effectively, coordinating procurement, warehousing and equipment records.

You will engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to prioritise work, improve processes and ensure compliance with SOPs and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating work within production, warehouse, manufacturing or facilities environments.
• Ability to plan resources and support multiple teams to meet operations targets.
• Experience using ERP or maintenance management systems for work orders, inventory or purchasing.
• Ability to interpret SOPs, maintain quality documents and support WHS requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently with stakeholders.
• Valid Australian driver's licence and forklift licence, or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to perform routine manual handling up to 20 kg.

About the Team

We deliver prime systems integration projects which build, develop and support military solutions for Defence. The team focuses on leveraging our local engineering, our services expertise, and global products to bring new capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.

The Opportunity

This is a varied, hands‑on opportunity combining site leadership with operations coordination at our Mulgrave facility. As the Site Lead, you will guide day‑to‑day production and warehouse activities while providing broader operational support to keep the site organised, safe and running effectively.

• Coordinate onsite production and warehouse activities, supporting the delivery, return, servicing, inspection and inventory management of CBRND equipment and packages.
• Oversee equipment calibration, servicing, maintenance records and work orders, ensuring accurate information is maintained in Costpoint and supporting contract quality requirements.
• Undertake operations coordination duties across procurement, supply chain, goods receipting, facilities, security, office administration and onsite contractor activities.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, engineering, quality, finance and operations stakeholders to manage priorities, support site requirements and improve operational processes.

About You

You will bring a practical and adaptable approach, with the ability to move confidently between site leadership, operational coordination and hands‑on support. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records and building effective working relationships across a multidisciplinary environment.

Essential

• Experience coordinating work within a production, warehouse, manufacturing, facilities or operational environment.
• Capability in planning activities, organising resources and supporting teams to meet operational and service requirements.
• Experience using ERP or maintenance management systems to manage work orders, inventory, purchasing or equipment records.
• Ability to interpret and follow standard operating procedures, maintain quality documentation and support workplace health and safety requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with varied stakeholders.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence and a forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness and ability to undertake routine manual handling, including boxes weighing up to 20 kg.

Advantageous

• Experience supervising or providing day‑to‑day guidance to production or warehouse personnel.
• A Certificate III or IV in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical fitting, project management, warehousing, supply chain management or a related discipline.
• Experience with Costpoint, SAP, MILIS or Defence logistics processes.
• Knowledge of calibration, equipment servicing, stocktaking, freight coordination and goods receipting.
• Experience supporting procurement, facilities, security, office management or operational events.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold a Baseline security clearance.
