Job summary

Hinchen Recruitment Group partners with a major Australian industrial organisation to appoint a Construction Manager for site integrations and commissioning on a multi-package capital program in NSW's Southern Highlands. This hands-on, on-site role focuses on bringing mechanical, electrical and control systems together through final construction, testing and handover to operations.

You'll work across live brownfield environments, coordinate multiple contractors, manage safety and work control,

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of industrial construction, commissioning or project delivery experience.
• Strong live/brownfield plant experience and commissioning capability.
• Experience coordinating several contractors across interfaces.
• Multidisciplinary systems integration across mechanical, process, electrical and control.
• Shutdown/ tie‑in experience and strong site safety/work-control knowledge.
• Proven ability to transition projects from construction to operation.
• Practical problem-solving and decisive site leadership.
• Ability to collaborate with contractors, engineers and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site integration across multiple capital project packages
• Coordinate construction completion and commissioning activities
• Bring together mechanical, process, electrical and control systems
• Coordinate contractors and package managers across complex interfaces
• Ensure systems are ready for testing and commissioning
• Manage commissioning readiness and completion requirements
• Coordinate staged tie-ins and shutdown activities
• Support energisation and plant start-up
• Coordinate system ramp-up and transition into operations
• Drive punch-list and defect closure
• Ensure commissioning documentation and procedures are complete
• Coordinate closely with engineering, project and operational teams
• Identify interface risks before they impact commissioning
• Maintain an integrated view of commissioning progress and readiness
• Drive contractors toward safe, timely completion and handover
