Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to lead the HR function for a significant energy infrastructure project located south of Perth. You’ll join early, shape HR processes, and work closely with project leadership to mobilise the workforce.

The role is hands-on across the employee lifecycle, with exposure to ER/IR, recruitment, mobilisation, payroll and training. No FIFO; Monday to Friday site-based, offering strong career progression.

Qualifications

• Senior HR Advisor or HRBP experience in a project/large-scale environment.
• Experience in construction, engineering or major projects.
• Contractor-side experience within construction preferred.
• Exposure to blue-collar workforces and project mobilisation.
• Knowledge of EBAs, employee relations and industrial relations.
• Ability to balance strategic advice with hands-on HR administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR activities across a major construction project.
• Partner with the Project Director and senior project leadership.
• Support mobilisation and workforce growth through the project start-up phase.
• Provide generalist HR advice across performance, conduct, employee relations and workforce matters.
• Work with ER/IR to manage industrial relations and union matters.
• Establish HR processes, systems and ways of working as the project ramps up.
• Manage HR administration, employee changes, documentation and reporting.
• Support workforce capability, training and development initiatives.
• Assist with social impact and workforce participation targets.
